Recently my hands have been really shaking. Like really noticeable. It comes and goes, but it makes it hard to type and write and sometimes just do regular things.

I'm currently on:
Lithium
Valium
Seroquel
Latuda

I'm starting to think it may be the lithium. I've been on 1800mg a day for about 2 years now. I've only had blood tests 3 times and everything was fine. Is it possible for the shakiness to just come out of nowhere? I'll mention it my next visit.

But what could it be? Could any of the other meds be causing this? I just jumped to lithium because I had read that it was a symptom.

My hands do that too. My Pdoc always has me hold my hands out in front of me at each visit to see how Shakey they are. Yes, it's the lithium. I don't know how often you should get a lithium level checked but my Pdoc does one several times a year.

May be the latuda. Tell your psych. I've always had tremors in hands, but when I started on latuda it got a lot worse. I literally could not get my fingers to stop moving, then it was my arms. My doc took me right off. Given enough time on the latuda the involuntary muscle movements can become permanent.

I'm on 300 mg Lithium now. Down from 900. My hands shake less. My balance is better.
Being on 600mg most of the time, I requested a test every three months regardless.
If I were in a high dose, I would request a standing order. Good luck.

I get the shakes when I'm not medicated enough. It is ridiculous!
