Is that because of your dosage? I just looked at what my lamotrigine costs me, and I pay $27/mo for 200 mg a day retail-I don't have insurance either. I paid more for my levothyroxine.

Does it help to explain that it's like food? We all need a healthy diet to get the right nutrients, and meds are like that-it's to give us what we need to function fully. That was how I dealt with it myself when I was so down on myself for having to take meds, especially meds that cost so much money.

There should be a program through the drug company to get the brand name for free...I know there are requirements, but maybe that's a possibility.

I can try that and see if it works. It does look like the insurance will cover it. Will know for sure tomorrow.
