Yesterday the wall changed colors. Not real, I know that. Today I feel bugs crawling on me and making me itch. Gah. So annoying. I know it's not real. I guess this stuff is gonna keep happening now. Lol it started almost a year ago next week. This time last year I was manic and dropped into deep depression-lets just say the police and ambulance showed up at my house. Bah.

Anyone else rely on antipsychotics to keep this stuff at bay? I'm taking haldol but they still come.

I do but zyprexa doesn't always keep them at bay either.

I'm on abilify for auditory, visual, and tactile hallucinations. They keep upping the dose because they keep getting worse. I'm sorry you're going through this; it really is horrible so I feel you. *hugs*

Abilify does a good job at keeping away the big hallucinations but I still deal with bugs on my skin and SI thoughts are less.

If I've had hallucinations that I think are real happen then something tips me off as strange. They seem real at first then their behavior isn't quite right. Like the time I saw people walk into me head on so that we were going to collide. I jumped out of the way only to see the person had "disappeared".

One time I thought I saw a cart heading at me in a store (literally the day I left a crisis unit) and I jumped out of the way. I looked again and it was gone...

When I see spiders it's like that....I think I see one scurrying and when I get scared and look again it's gone! when I was in psychosis I was so worried about the spiders I wouldn't sleep in case they got in my bed.

OT but my daughter won't sleep in her room because she saw a spider in there (months ago). (She's 17)

So sorry this is happening to you. Can you make an emergency appointment with your pdoc? But yes, they are NOT real. Try not to panic. Breathe and distract yourself with whatever takes your mind off the hallucinations. Sending HUGS!

Funny. I've also had a person running at me and we'd almost collided, or it must have been. I quickly looked around and he'd disappeared.

It's really interesting how/that that happens (assuming it's not a coincidence that's what hallucinated people do, or those near you).

I was having auditory hallucinations that were telling me to do very nasty things. During this period I also had a hallucination (psychotic break) where there were demons on my computer screen after a minute of this the demons started crawling coming from my screen and turned into quite real creatures. As they got closer to face I didn't know what to do, I was very scared but finally came to my senses enough to turn off the computer.

Things like the above continued for a while until I had my risperidone dosage increased.

I'm very very pissy and sad today. I keep crying. Some of it is situational and I don't think the nasty weather is helping. I'm Hoping seeing my boyfriend tomorrow will help some.

I totally just took an Ativan because I'm avoiding my feelings today.
