Anyone have problems with anger? Normally, I have a hard time giving voice to my anger, I avoid confrontations, and my anger turns inward. But, I have times when it doesn't take much to trigger it or me and I can get pretty aggressive. On going situations where I've been holding my tongue are now confronted. My voice is loud, I'm not intimidated, I don't hold back and I even swear. It feels great to not hold back! My adrenaline is rushing and I feel powerful.. for awhile, until I go back over it in my mind and see where I was hurtful and just out of control. I feel bad, apologize, and tell myself that I need to do a better job of regulating my anger.. until I am triggered again.

Lately my triggers are neighbors who are neglecting their pets ( told one neighbor they were f--n lazy and shouldn't have a pet) and a whining, complaining husband who has been sick with a cold and cough for 3 weeks (told him I was done with it and wished he would just nut up and suffer in silence). I won't be winning wife of the year anytime soon.

Really, I'm not like this most of the time, and after a few days of these anger storms I am emotionally and physically exhausted. Could this be a form of hypomania?

Anger is an emotion, and the Lamictal your taking should be addressing that. Maybe its not working and an adjustment in meds might be needed. You should talk to your Dr about this. I could be wrong, but I don't however see it being hypomania.

I use to have serious problems with anger and controlling it. Since i started taking a low dose risperidone, my anger has disappeared, and i don't get triggered anymore.

Good luck

I have anger issues as well. Since I started Effexor I haven't had any-been a week. That is amazing. I'm on mood stabilizers as well but they didn't help with anger, just the Effexor. I have irritable depressions.
