Stole this idea from Reddit:

Quote:
Showerthought is a loose term that applies to any thought you might have while carrying out a routine task like showering, driving, or daydreaming.
What are your BP showerthoughts? I'll share a few of mine:

1. Medication providers should be forced to try every medication they prescribe, especially psychiatric ones.

2. The BP community knows more about bipolar disorder than doctors will ever know in their lifetime.

3. If medication providers were forced to try every medication they prescribed, we would be less medicated and Big Pharma would be forced to sell at more affordable prices.

I'll post some more, but that should get us going
Thanks for this!

Thank you! Im sure meds helped me to some extent but Im also on very low doses. Im afraid my brain would go off if they were increased. Am able to tolerate my current condition. But also afraid to totally open to my therapist.

1. I think that I'm going to self destruct.

2. I think that new medications shouldn't be priced so high that normal people can't afford them.

3. I think that psychiatrists should slow down and listen to their patients.

Just a few.

If psychiatrists knew what it was like to have the chemicals that control their brains in the control of someone else, when they had a question or concern about it, they would be a little bit quicker to pay attention and respond to our questions and concerns when we call with a problem. It is not something that we can just brush off or wait for days for an answer for.
Thanks for this!
