I had a pdoc appointment yesterday and wrote a note of course. I explained that my anxiety is bad again and that I don't think the latuda is working. Also that I'm having hand tremors constantly from the lithium.

I really like my pdoc and most of the time he does everything perfectly. But he pushed off the hand tremors until next visit, completely ignored my anxiety problems, and proceeded to up my latuda dosage. Sigh. I just wish this visit went better.

It could be that your anxiety is part of depression, which can be helped by Latuda. My Latuda dose is at 120 mg. & it is helping me quite a bit.

I also have a bad tremor. I take Cogentin for it, which helps only a little bit. Have you been [prescribed anything for the tremor?

I suppose it could be that. He just upped it to 120 yesterday.

And no, I don't take anything for the tremors.

I'm happy with my Latuda dose at 60mg but I wouldn't depend on it for anxiety. I use Xanax--not too often--for that. (I know, hard to pry out of prescribers' hands these days. Also not great for everyday use.) Some people use Seroquel, though again I never found it much use except maybe as my main AP. As for the trembling ask your doctor if you can try propranolol (a systemic beta blocker). If not that then benztropine could maybe help.

It is so weird your doctor isn't decreasing your Lithium as it is the most likely culprit for the tremors. You need a blood test on it as your levels might be toxic. Sorry they are not being more helpful but I hope the increase in Latuda helps. How are you?

What's your blood level?. 1800mg seems a little high. Some people need it high though.

I agree that Li is high and that you need a serum level test.

I would agree with checking the Lithium level. High amounts of Latuda really helped my anxiety for quite some time. I was on 120 mg for a while, too. Good luck!

Vitamin B can help with shaking hands due to Lithium etc. Just check with Doc first to ensure no issue with you taking it. Has helped me, all the best.
