First let me say, I have never, not ever, been vengeful against a person (or any other living thing!)
BUT recently I am getting great satisfaction for making even a small dent in some companies -- large or small -- that are irresponsible or treat their customers badly - how they treat me, in particular. But of course, that reflects how they treat everyone. Examples: For two years, I told reps at my credit union, to pass upstairs my complaint about their terrible phone system. I said for two years if they did not correct this, I would take out my money. Well, I did. I also told my phone company the same thing, and my cell phone company. Ditto, for about 2 years, and I then changed service providers. All my new providers either answer the phone in person, or call back immediately, and/or are open 24/7/365. Just now I wrote to a small crafting woman, whose product was (1) more expensive than it should have been, but I paid that much because it was so cool looking; and (2) it did not fit any adult, even though it was marketed as an adult hat. I said I did not want to write a bad review, and would she please send me a refund, and I wold ship back the hat as soon as I could, probably 4 days hence. She told me -- get THIS --and hey this is a ONE PERSON crafts shop online! She said "That's not possible" because I waited too long. I told her I've been sick for 2 weeks. Not 'possible"???? Give me a break....so I just wrote a bad review for her. I did not scream in the review, was not insulting. Just gave the facts. Squash!!!! Splat! Smush. All these people are going to have to "get with it" or more people than I are going to squash, splat, smush them -- right? |

I love finding things to complain about, even if they are little
I'd used to never complain if a company treated me badly- but now 1 wrong move and i'm on to the manager (or if not the manager, i'll keep trying and trying until I get them) it's actually quite satisfying |

most recently, I complained to a tv station that all though it was great they were advertising their shows, it didn't help that in the comercials they didn't give times for the broadcast
well wouldn't you know it they started redoing all the adverts and they now have times at the end of them 1 point to me extra note: who advertises stuff without telling you what time you can watch it? wow |

tee hee hee -- great for you! Go get 'em. Shattered, that's super great that you actually had an immediate impact and results!!! If enough people complain forcefully, then the companies might change their employees' attitudes.

I once wrote to Anheiser Busch about a six pack of their beer that had been sold to me... half of the six pack was half empty and flat.... and the company sent me a gift certificate for a case of their product.
I wasn't rude, but I expressed my disappointment. I think it's important to give a fair customer response to bad treatment... but remember not to abuse the person to whom you complain, because giving bad treatment in return is simply not nice, |

Drives me nuts too. Biggest problem is often lack of competition. I mean how much "choice" is there in one's electric company? Internet provider? Ugh. And they know it. I'm hugely against these mergers and resultant monolithic a-hole corporations.
Anyhow! Fun Story Time! Way back in high school, I had a summer job and every single day, without fail, at break I'd go in and get one of those horrible little lemon "pies" (the Hot Pockets of desserts...). One day, I was there waiting at the register and was getting blown off by the cashier who was over tidying magazines. Ok, well it may not have mattered to her, but break is only so long. Fine. Next day, I went in and paid in pennies. Just dumped 'em on the belt. ![]() ![]() Might have been a ballsey move in such a small town (2000), but I was a pretty bold character in those days ![]() Classic moment in consumer history, lol. (And in case anyone thinks this was terrible, let me assure you I've had about a million such crap jobs. Crap job or not, there are responsibilities and ignoring customers is not one of them. There wasn't anyone else in line, btw, so it was a highly targeted move with no collateral damage. ![]() |

Good point, Bastets Muse. And good goin' Innerzone. I won't even tell everyone here about my horrible jobs. They were too abusive, I worked for too many of these jobs, too many of them, too terrible, I quit them all (or was run off), and don't want to think about them ever again. But I will say this -- most of them were office jobs. Mostly women in those places, right? Women can be horrible emotional bullies mostly to other women. But I saw one of them go after a guy. However. I have also had at least three horrible men bosses, who used he same highly critical tactics the women use. Nightmarish situations! I generally liked working for male occupations, like construction sites.
