Anyone else get this side effect?? I yawn all day after taking it and I'm not even tired. I tried to take it at night but woke up yawning again. I'm annoyed.

I googled and apparently I'm not the only one. What a weird side effect. Maybe I'm on too high of a dose. On 300mg at night.

I take 200 at night and 100 during the day. I thought we were supposed to take them in divided doses?

I take 300mg at once in the morning. Nothing at night.

I've read you can do either and pdoc said that too. Maybe if I try splitting doses it won't be so bad. It's frying my memory too.

I dropped my 100mgs/Lamictal. 2 anti-seizure drugs just go to be a bit much. I'm still on the Trileptal, and my ability to think, concentrate, etc. has improved dramatically.

Then again, I have a friend who takes 300mgs with other things and he's doing just fine in terms of brain power. When he was on 400...there were problems.

I hope things get better.

I yawn in the morning..even after 5 cups of coffee, hungover and getting 5 hours of sleep every night...so I don't know what causes it.

When I do get to sleep drinking off on the weekends...I don't yawn. Lamictal has essentially been side effect free for me.

But talking about it here right now...I can feel one wanting to but just can't get there! Lol

I take my Lamictal at night (300mg). I do yawn a lot after taking it. I don't have any residual effects in the morning.
