Lately I have been having very lucid vivid dreams. I'm on lamictal, klonopin, and Prozac. I've always had vivid dreams in which I could feel things but these dreams are different. So much so that they scare me. Not because they are scary. They haven't been so far but I can't tell them from real or fake lately. It takes me awhile. I used to be able to wake myself up from dreams but I'm not sure I'm really asleep when having these dreams. I know I've posted about it before but it seems to be getting worse. I'm afraid of the day that I wake up in a violent fight or flight moment. I almost had that happen last night. Also being hypo for the last few days doesn't help at all either. I just want restful sleep where I don't toss and turn where I don't wake up wondering where I am and if the dream just happened. 😧😦 I'm so tired.

Last night I had really vivid dreams and a restless sleep. I have been hypomanic recently so maybe that is why it is happening for both of us. Have you had a med change recently? Meds can affect our sleep and dreams. It is really unsettling to have these dreams and wake up disorientated. Try grounding exercise upon waking to ground you firmly in reality and let the dreams slip back into your unconscious. This helps me a bit. Then get up and get immediately into activities like making coffee and breakfast to distract yourself. Try not to focus on the dreams. I hope you have a better sleep tonight.

Thanks. I did start a new med about two weeks ago. Unfortunately I can't wake right up and get stuff done because I haven't actually slept through the night. It's a constant wake up and go back to sleep thing.

I take all of my medications in the morning. Taking them at bedtime was not a good idea.
Thanks for this!

Do you take your Lamictal at night? When I tried dividing doses morning/evening, I had a lot of dreams and woke up in the middle of the night. Since I moved to taking one dose in the AM I haven't had those problems.

I'm on limictal and klonopin(and lyrica too ) I alway tale my dose of 350mg as soon as I wake. I have quite vivid dreams but I've had them before starting limictal. Some say they get sleepy if they take it in the morning but I never had that problem.

I was like that after my psychosis in 2011. But I was having horrible nightmares. I think wander had some good suggestions. When you're ready to get up, ground yourself in reality. I hope you are able to find something that works. Hugs
