I am a pothead and I have not had any problems with it interacting with any of my medications. I tend to vape on hybrid weed which is a mix of indica/Sativa but more towards the Indica side. The only medication I have stopped taking is my Ambian cause I have not needed it since last September.

Here is a warning though if you have never eaten an edible I suggest that whatever you get that you only eat a 1/4 at a time. Edibles can also take up to two to three hours to kick in depending on the person. So I would eat a 1/4 or half then wait two to three hours for it to kick in if at the two hour mark you are not feeling it eat another 1/4 if you are feeling it at the two hour mark ride it out for a bit and if you want to get higher eat another 1/4.
Now the reason you should eat it slowly is you don't want to much in your system cause it will turn a good day into a real bad day real quick the term used is Greening out.

Have fun enjoy and be safe.
Thanks for this!

I like to smoke cannabis, it is very relaxing for me (I have very high strung anxiety). I don't need much and I'm not an everyday smoker. I have been fairly clean for over a month now other then a couple of times. I'm trying to find a job so, no smoking for me. My therapist said it will make you more depressed but I disagree. It gives me a happy mellow and brings me down to a more peaceful sate of mind. They have just passed medicinal marijuana here where I live but I don't know that I could even get it. I haven't mentioned it directly to my psych but it is in my records. I think everyone is effected differently just like pills. So what works for some can have bad side effects for others.

Thanks for sharing your info. One question -- what is 1/4? The store I called has candy bars, with 10 pieces on each bar. The guy says to start with 2 pcs. I tend to react to low doses of anything. I don't have the content, but I'm sure I can get it. I don't understand the content part.

You ask, Why do you want to try it?" Just a whim. Like so many other reckless whims I do....But now I've decided not to try it, based on what several folks' stories here. And it's expensive.

I have a love/hate relationship with cannabis, and an addictive personality. After smoking heavily for a few years I quit last May and haven't smoked since and I must say I feel better for it. But I was smoking a huge amount.

My T was always ok with moderate use but all pdoc's I have seen wanted me to not smoke at all, saying it interfered with my meds and exacerbated the bipolar in any amount. Some people have bad reactions to it but many benefit from it as it can calm anxiety, lift mood and generally balance things out. If I could smoke it only occasionally without being tempted to go all-day everyday, I probably would. When smoking a lot it did worsen my anxiety, caused me to isolate myself and put me in danger as i did reckless things. It also may have led to several BAD mixed episodes. I must add that I smoked or vaped it, never ate it. That affects you differently altogether so I can't comment on it. Why do you want to try it?

Dear Cdnstargazer, BipolaRNurse, bioChE, Wild Coyote, usehername, Wander, and everyone on this thread. What a great, highly participatory discussion! Thanks to everyone. Based on Cdnstargazer, BipolaRNurse, bioChE, Wild Coyote, usehername, Wander,'s stories of various negative effects/experiences, plus how expensive it is, my whim to try it is over! No dice. I think I'd get so I want it every day. I'll stick with heroin (so much better for my health)....just kidding!!!! No way!

1/4 as in 25% I would eat one piece to start out with on that candy bar easy to go up in dose but no way to really lessen the dose.
