My pdoc wants to get me off Geodon and change the Zyprexa to Trilafon (perphenazine) in a few months. Do you have any experience with it, and if so, do you like it? What kind of side effects have you had? I'm not at all sure I want to do this, especially since it's an old AP and I'm afraid of tardive dyskinesia and extrapyramidal symptoms. But I guess I've got to keep an open mind.
It would be nice to get off one of the APs but I think I'd rather stay on Zyprexa since that's the one that works.

I know nothing about the new med sorry. Can you just get off the geodon and up the zyprexa and try metformin (sp?) for the weight gain and diabetes aspects?

I had tried trilafon many years ago.
I experienced EPSE with it. Otherwise, I did not mind it. I'd have the same concerns you have mentioned. ![]() WC |
