Have know her for years, and just found out she's bipolar, she has been in the current episode for 3 months, in hospital 3 times, is spending $$$ like she is rich. is very selfish.
I don't know how to handle her now! for a while if I just said hey now think what you are saying or doing, and is it the truth or real seemed to work. now she tells me that she wants to stay manic, because she can tell everyone to get ..... without caring who she hurts.

I do. I think you can tell her you understand what she is going through. You can be a good influence and moderate her behaviour until she starts to come down. But I would agree that the most important thing is to stand by and be there when the crash comes.
