My first draft title of this post was "Wellbutrin Acid Trip", so that'll give you an idea of where I'm about to go here! Ha ha!

I have actually not been on Wellbutrin in over four years, but the memory of this side effect has stayed in my mind since. It stopped when I stopped taking Wellbutrin and I haven't experienced anything since. I've asked my doctor and my therapist about it and they're both stumped. I figured I would ask out of my own curiosity and just for how bizarre this side effect was.

The best way I can describe it was that my mind was running slower than the rest of the world, in a very literal sense. For example, I had to stop taking stairs during my brief time on Wellbutrin because I would get vertigo when my brain would freak out because it thought I had covered way more ground that I should've. Also, I remember swinging my arm in front of my face to test this reaction. It took my brain a full two seconds to process the fact that "Hey, his arm moved!" and move my head accordingly. Visually, the effect was like a long exposure camera shot. I could see my arm moving across my face, but my brain would still be focusing on the "ghost image" of where my arm used to be.

Short of me ingesting actual psychedelics, I'm at a loss as to what would cause that. To be clear, I was dead sober and the only drugs I was taking were of the psychiatric variety. If anybody has any thoughts or ideas, I'd be much obliged.

This was me on respiridol and respiridone (botched those up) they made me feel like the world was moving faster then me and my mind was moving faster than my body.

I felt like I was a zombie with a brain. I'd be like "move arm" and a second later it would mechanically move.

I just started taking Wellbutrin the day before yesterday and I have been a lil slow but nothing to bad for me.

I'm taking Wellbutrin with Adderall, so I will never notice slowness.
BTW, no shrink prescribed this. It's Dr pirilin Rx. So don't do it. Besides it's only 5mg Adderall.
