I use to wake up at five every morning recently so i sleep about five hours with very vivid dreams and think about getting up when i wake but usually don't do it. My Body is slightly tired by now and i am very talkative and speeded up. Sounds like hypomania? It is uncomfortable and i like it at the Same time because i am productive.
My p only offered giving me ssris. Would they help with that? Promethazine doesnt seem to do the deal with the sleeping. Any further ideas how to avoid getting more hypo? |

Anti-psychotics help calm hypomania down and let you sleep better. Do you have any? It is also good that you are aware you are heading that way as you can stop it before it gets out of control. Exercise, good diet, keeping a good sleep routine (laying in bed even if you can't sleep for the same time each night) and doing deep breathing and calming exercises like laying down in a dark room for a while during the day to slow you down. It is also good to be mindful of behaviours that may be harmful to you, like overspending or acting oddly around people who don't know and accept you well. And of course contact your T and/or pdoc to let them know what is happening so they can support you in stabilising. I wish you all the best.
