I gave my mother a frig magnet one time that said: "Blessed are they who laugh at themselves. They will never cease to be amused."

I have a hard time laughing at myself, or laughing with anyone who laughs about something I do.

I'm making a list, to try to see myself in a funny light. Does anyone else have trouble laughing at themself?

Here's the only one about me that I can think of:

I ate a whole coconut cream pie in 3 days. (DON'T DO THAT!" Say I to myself)

When I told my boyfriend that one, he roared with laughter...I tried to interrupt him and tell him I had to because I was afraid it would spoil. He laughed harder! Finally he said that when he gets a coconut cream pie, it stays in his frig for at least a week.

Although I loved hearing his booming laughter, I had trouble with it being because of me!

I love to laugh!

Lately, I haven't laughed easily.

I can and do enjoy laughing at myself, even if pointed about by someone else.

I like laughing at myself. It's a nice break from taking myself too seriously.

I definitely laugh at myself. I'd go insane, if I didn't!

There are times when it is much easier to laugh at myself than other times. I'm in a much better place when I can laugh at myself.

If I couldn't laugh at myself and my life situations a lot of the time, I wouldn't be here. It keeps me (semi)sane!

Sometimes when I snap and am in the middle of a meltdown, even as I am freaking out I can see how ridiculous I am behaving and will find it funny and go from crying to laughing. Then again, if I don't my friend surely will!! But I have a bit of a sick sense of humor.
Even the shiit that didn't seem particularly funny at the time often becomes funny in hindsight.

It is sometimes hard to make fun of oneself, but I think as humans we tend to take life way too seriously some times. It is our fuuck ups that end up making the best stories. And laughing till my stomach hurts is one of my very favorite feelings.

I love to laugh! And my life is ripe with opportunities to laugh at myself. I'm a stumblebutt who once broke her big toe by walking into a wall, and another time I did a face-plant in church. If I couldn't laugh at these absurdities I would be a real drag.

Yes I laugh at myself. Just yesterday I tripped over my fan, twisted my ankle and bruised my leg. I was having a good laugh until I realized my cat was missing (crushed beneath me)? Good news, We both lived. It makes a nice change from always berating myself.

There are times when I can laugh at myself. I have to be in a good mood, though.
