Hey, I just started Vraylar 5 days ago, and so far, it's really helped with my depression. Just curious if anyone else has been on it or is on it and how it's working for you?

I have not but I'll certainly be asking about it now. Thanks for bringing it up. I'm on 4 ad and still severely depressed.

I am not replying from my own experience, but rather what my prescriber wishes she could give me a script for: Vraylar. She has had a rapid and significant response, as well as successful long term maintenance I'm clients taking it. She said, "If there ever was a miracle drug, Vraylar is it, Julie."
Then I reminded her that we have no health insurance. That stuff is like $1,500 a month without insurance. Hey...does anybody know who manufactures this stuff or what the income caps are for the patient assistance program? With me not working, we might qualify. Last I checked we didn't, but that was different. Hmm...

goodrx can give you price quotes for the pharmacies in your area and I think they link to patient assistance programs, too.

You can get patient assistance apps from the drug/manufacturer website. Don't be afraid to apply even if you don't meet all criteria. I get several meds through patient assistance and am exempted into all of them and have been for years. I just include a note with the application explaining why I still need help despite having Medicare (or my income being a few hundred dollars too much) and they approve it.

I got it because I got a free month's worth coupon. Don't know after that... I hope insurance covers it, It has covered everything else for me.

I was put on Vraylar after a nasty mixed episode 3 months ago. Combined with lithium and Lamictal this combo has probably saved my life. The only side effect I'm getting from the Vraylar is a little bit of lightheadedness but I decided I could live with it. I also take propanolol for anxiety and hand tremors.

Yes, I have good insurance.
If you go the the website (just Google Vraylar and click the manufacturer's website) and look in the top right corner there is a savings program. Looks like it's $15/month for a year. |
