For 2 days, I have been doing morning stretches for my hip on the bed.
Wow!
Doing them on the bed is SO MUCH NICER and comfortable then laying on the floor and doing them.
I actually used a pillow to rest my head on. I should look up more exercises to do.
It was enjoyable!!!!!!
Does anyone know any reason why I should not do exercises on my bed instead of the floor?

Because you're not getting out of bed. Are exercises on the bed ok?

Just kidding. If it works for you, go nuts.

When I was in the hospital with a broken hip there were several exercises that they had me doing while in bed.
Thanks for this!

bizi!!! I sure understand that you find "SO MUCH NICER and comfortable then laying on the floor and doing them." I went to a physical therapist for my neck pain. She gave me the a bed way to do the same-old, same-old head turns, nods, and rotations that I hated! Now I love them! She gave me a small "beach ball" -- about 8 inches in diameter, and blew it up half way. I put it on the bed under my neck, and do the exercises. Very fun, very relaxing. I put a towel over the beach ball so it is warm and does not slip around.

I think knowing what is actually wrong with your hip would be the only way to answer this question with any legitimacy, what do you think? Has the doctor told you what is wrong with your hip?

no elsa, I have not had it evaluated.
so I really don't know what is wrong with my hip.
I keep thinking it will get better and not have to go see a doctor.
I guess I could go see a PT now since we just have gotten approval to not see a doctor first in this state.
not sure about that though....
thank you elsa
