Hey guys! I might be able to work a full time job again soon. I was wondering if I should mention my illness at all during the hiring process?

NO. Never disclose a mental health diagnosis when you're looking for a job. They technically can't not hire you because of it, but they can always find a zillion other reasons to say they've found someone who meets their needs better.

No and no. don't even hint at it during the hiring process.
If you have a spotty work history or gaps, come up with a good but undetailed explanation for it in case they ask- such as, I was out the work force for a while dealing with some family obligations (or Something like that).

I wouldn't mention the bp after getting the job either, but that's me... I would imagine that the type of job would make a big difference there.
Anyway- best of luck with the interviewing. I hope you get the job!

I agree with Naynay and BipolaRNurse! Don't do it!

It's just not worth it, honestly. If you end in IP for whatever reason, you don't have to disclose the real reason. You can just say you had a "health scare" or something. So there are ways to handle BP at work

Definitely do not disclose that information in an interview.
