I cannot pay attention. When smeome is talking to me, my mind wanders all over the place..random things, anything. My thoughts bounce around to anything and everything.

It is rude to not be able to listen to someone. Makes me forget what they said.

I think this might be affecting my kids

Any opinions on what med could help this?

I talk Lamictal
Wellbutrin
Lexapro.

Thank you!!!!

I know the feeling zyprexa helps quiet my mind most of the time. If that doesn't work I'll take half a xanax and i am good to go.

NeatFreak,
your description is classic symptomology of an elevated mood. You are on the high side. It may be that you need an increase in the dosage of what meds you are taking. That should be discussed with your medication provider.

When I am elevated, my concentration is very short, I talk rapidly, I tend to be obsessive, (like excessive repetition of the same thought.) It literally wears me out and I get very tired of it and start seeking a way to get down, yet avoid a crash. (Fall into devastating depression.)

For me, the solution starts when I realize I'm elevated. I become mindful of my behavior then I make sure I am taking my meds correctly. I'll take more of a drug that knocks me down. I make it a slow process so I don't crash. I remember how wonderful the last depression was. lol

It is so weird. I am depressed too. I feel ok with some motivation yet still want to sleep/lie in bed and watch tv.

Mixed state? I am always on top of my meds and dosages. I am great at making them work for me, since I cycle fast, but this one has me puzzled.

I am afraid to increase my Wellbutrin bc I am a little irritable, yet I need something for this depression.

I am at a loss this time. I think I have had mixed episodes before but slight ed adjustments makes it ok. Now bc I feel some hypo mixed with depression has me at my wits end.

Ty for listening

If you are the person with the 2 accounts, could you please just use one? It's really confusing to follow both on the same thread. Thanks!

I agree. Pick an account and stick with it, otherwise it's hard to follow.

I have ADHD and Bipolar 1. Have you always had trouble following what others were saying this way?

Not really. It's just hard having to remember that one person is using two accounts.

Who is this in reference to? Personally, I only have one account. Two would certainly be a challenge as I really don't have that much to say.

NeatFreak, have you ever tried stimulants? I suffer from the same symptoms, and have found Vyvanse to be very helpful. You could also try Adderall or Ritalin, they both should help the type of thing you're describing. Might be worth bringing up with your doc.
