Right now, I take geodon, generic 80mg bid. It cost me less than $50 a month.
My pdoc ordered a switch of my meds....my cost would be $350 a month that is over $4K a year. I did not pick up my prescription.
I need help.
What meds are more affordable.
I need a new antipsychotic.
thanks

Have you talked to your pdoc about this? Why are you switching?

I take generic haldol. It's cheap and works well. I know a lot of doctors won't prescribe a typical though.

yes abilify costs me a lot of money but my pdoc wont take me off it. i think seroquel was cheaper but also quite sedating and i think zyprexa is still cheaper than abilify but that one has its downsides too.
Thanks for this!

I pay $3 for my Seroquel XR using a coupon on the official Seroquel XR website. Cheapest med I've had to date.

Abilify was stupidly expensive and didn't help.

Latuda was $20 a month for me with a coupon, so ehhh
Thanks for this!

I just printed off a savings card off the abilify web site.
IT is almost too good to be true.
With the card and my insurance I would only pay $5 a month.
I need to activate the card.
There has to be some sort of catch to this.
I wonder what the injectable abilify would cost?
The geodon is not helping to prevent hypo manias....
but I have been drinking quite a bit and that doesn't help matters much.
bizi
I am feeling hopeful!
Thanks for responding.

My pdoc had me on Rexaulti that was $384 a month and then Saphris which was $1,100 a month. I got patient assistance for the Saphris so it didn't cost anything. My Abilify is $97 and my Geodon is $97 also. Thanks for the info about the Abilify web-site. I'll check that out.

My rexulti costs $1,100/month, but insurance pays for it. Its almost exactly like abilify chemically, but those little differences are big.

The problem is that I have a large deductible. $4K. so it is like paying out of pocket. Between having PT and Pdoc and therapist expenses...I am really spending alot these days plus I joined a gym $65 a month that I don't seem to be going to. and I already belong to planet fitness $10 a month so that is 2 plans !!!! I need to cancel one of them.

The only catch is the program will end at some point....I think it's around a year out....by then if the med works you'll be desperate to stay on it......also Abilify is available as generic now so there may be some issues with your insurance covering the brand.....the coupon is only for the brand.....

Who knows when the program will end. It is worth a shot to see if it helps.
If I can have a better year then that would be great! I could switch insurance plans and have the generic covered with just a co pay then.
bizi
The different insurance plan is $350 more a month. But then would have a $50 co-pay...

If it's the same as AUS the brand name comes in little pink pills, or red ones, depending on dosage. They are so cute!

I have never thought of pills as cute but I do have to say that the 25mg of lamictal are so small and should I say...."cute", too.
