Does anybody take this or have taken it? Just curious to see if anybody went through what I went through while taking this new medication.
My experience was traumatizing, it gave me symptoms I've never had in my life. I was delusional beyond belief and ended up hospitalized to clean my system.

WOW. I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience. I took Rexulti for several months and it got me out of a bad depression. On 3 mg there were no side effects. I had to go off it because it was so expensive and went straight back down into depression. On something else now.

Yeah!! To say that the experience was traumatizing would even be an understatement! Hm glad it worked for you though! is the new one you're taking working alright as well?
The reason why I took it was because my old medications were making me gain too much weight and Rexulti according to my old doctor does not cause any weight gain - that was the single only positive thing I had happen was the weight loss.

Yes. He put me on Abilify and it took a few days to kick in but for me it's working better than Rexulti.

I'm on Rexulti 3 mg since January, titrated up slowly. I've had no problems at all. Im taking it as an antipsychotic. Going off Zyprexa and diet and exercise I've lost 28 pounds in 3 months.

I started Rexulti maybe 3 months ago and I think it is less effective than abilify. I got off abilify because of the weight gain, but I haven't noticed any weight loss on Result. And I am foggy and scattered and have been more depressed than usual. I usually get manic in the spring. But I have been very low.

If I were you I would consult my doctor immediately and tell him what you are experiencing before it gets too late and you end up getting intolerably sick.
Those were the first signs I had when I got sick.

hi. antipsychotics/tranquilizers can be tricky drugs. the d2 partial agonists can be a godsend for some people (I'm on a high dose of Abilify myself), but there are also plenty of horror stories. there's so much that remains unknown about the brain and how these drugs work to control mental problems, its...crazy. i mean, with all the billion$ spent on psychiatrists, counselors, hospitals, drugs, etc....psychiatry is still largely an un-scientific branch of medicine that seems to involve lots of drug trials and sometimes electroshock.

sorry about your experience.
