The hospital is different from the walk-in clinic?

Please be very careful. Things can spiral out-of-control quickly and without warning.

Be safe.

I'm referring to behavioral health as the clinic. I could walk in and speak to whoever has free time for unscheduled appointments or I could go to the hospital where theres a separate floor with people who are going through things similar to me and I could be seen by a doctor
Thanks for this!

You will need a doctor, at some point, to re-evaluate and to handle any meds.

I take it there's no doctor in the behavioral health clinic.

You have to get off the Zoloft. It may or may not need a taper. You also may need other meds to get you stabilized. A doctor would be helpful.

Yet, if you need help right away and no doctor is available anywhere, see behavioral health.

I hope you have access to an ER should you need help in the night or outside the hours of other places you are considering.

I agree with the consensus, you need to get with a Doc immediately. My brother-in-law was put in a psych ward and he was not discharged. He served 20 years. Please take care of yourself and let us know how things go.

First off, let me say it sounds like a really difficult situation, so my thoughts are with you. Can I clarify something, are the Military aware of your potential dx? It sounds like you're using a civvie Pdoc and therapist, is there not a military one you can use?
As someone who's ex forces themselves, I have to say that your health is of more importance than your service and whilst you're right that a dx may result in you being discharged, that would sadly be the right thing. BP is a son of a ***** and many of the behaviours it can cause are simply not compatible with working with firearms or in a military environment, though that's not to say there aren't roles you could work. You need to have a chat with your CO about the situation and how to handle your future. I'm sorry as this is probably not what you want to hear, but if you conceal it and are later found to have done so, you'll be in a world of ****.
I feel your pain about the family reaction, my father had BP and mine manifests itself very differently to him, so similar story to you. As you'll see, there's a lot of of advice and support on here, and many folk willing to chat things through and help guide you.
I wish you luck with it, as someone who has worked in several uniforms, and as someone who lost their job because of the BP.

When you go to the clinic, be sure to stress it to them that you are in no danger and are not a danger, I don't see why else they would opt to keep you.

I've escaped a few hospital stays by making sure this was understood in no uncertain terms, altho I realize your circumstances may differ, but I don't see why the same general rules wont apply.

Also glad you are getting off the Zoloft.

I hope everything works out just fine.
Again, thanks for your service.

Try to keep physically burning it off but not too much as a body in motion can stay in motion so be reasonable.....go easy on yourself ....be kind to yourself. I'm sorry you are struggling and hope you reach a point of inner peace soon.
