I have had times when I am manic and I say a sentence and what came out was incomprehensible garbage. I knew what I wanted to say and in my mind I said what I wanted to say but what came out was entirely different. I can't find anything on the Internet about it. Is this the pressured speech they talk about? Have any of you experienced this? I don't know if it is something I should be concerned about. Thank you all!

I wish I were at the time. I wouldn't have much to worry about if that were the case.

(((Hugs))). I hope you get the answers you seek and I hope this never happens again. I've had similar experiences with not just speaking but seeing and comprehension....no alcohol needed which would explain such things. I'm sorry you had this experience and hope it takes a permanent vacation. Perhaps ask your doctor if you have one and see what they say about it

I get that, my brain is going faster than my mouth and the words come out all mixed up.
Sometimes it is so messed up I just end up laughing

You're not alone. It happens infrequently to me, but once I was at my medical doctor's office and we were having a conversation. I said something and she looked at me and said, "I have no idea what that means."

So yeah, you're not alone.

Yeah, I have that happen to me on occasion. I caught myself during a job interview earlier in the week and paused mid thought and started over. If it weren't for their confused faces I wouldn't have known I was speaking gibberish.

I get that way with numbers, which is bad because I work with numbers. For example yesterday a customer called me asking for a certain test number, I wrote it down. When I went to retrieve the required information, I just knew I wrote the wrong number, so I gathered both tests. Turns out the number I had written down was indeed correct.

Then in the email to let the customer know I had fulfilled their request, I used a different number in the subject line than I did in the link that supplied the information, which was not the correct test number either.

I did supply the correct information to the correct place though. So weird and frustrating.
Thanks for this!
