been going hypo or just loopy from being too tired ... no sure ...

the question ... friday night took my first geodon (only 40mg) ... have taken it in the past and it helped me sleep ... why I asked to start on it again ...

friday night my sleep was tortured .. waking many times .. but I did feel a liittle rested in the morning (hypo - geodon ? not sure ... ) but I did have my legs going crazy ... so went back to bed and when I awoke it had stopped ... had tons of energy all day ...

sat night took my second geodon ... ( did stay up too late ... late movie) ... sleep from hell .. at 1am ate ... at 3am took pain otc pain med (usually help sleep) and 1mg xanex ... (normally take .5 but not reguarlly ... at 4am took another mg of xanex ... tried to sleep in recliner ... maybe 30 min ... fimally in bed by 5am ... slept till 1030am ... feel ok but my head feels (heavy) like my neck has gone weak ... 1230pm now and feeling ok ...

have had increasing issue (anger ... lack of control ... dangerous actions) for last two weeks hence the request for geodon and increase in my other meds ... fearing hypo coming on ...

what do you think (former or current geodon users ...) reaction this quickly or just my bad luck the tiredness hit at this time ... I have an important traing coming up next week and I must be awake and sharp at 8am everyday ... help ... i am not sure to quit the geodon hang on and see if it gets better ....

I used to take 80mg twice a day. sorry you are having a rough time....hang in there take the dose with food at your dinner. IT works properly with a meal.
so YOu have to take it with a full meal not just a bit of food.
Again it is not for the GI issues it is to work properly.
Just in case you did not know this.

I take 240 mg of Geodon right before I go to bed without food and sleep like the dead. I wake up feeling well rested. It does increase its effectiveness if you take it with food. I've never experienced any side effects with this med even from the beginning.

I don't know what to advise you. I can understand your predicament. Years ago, I started seroquel (new to me at the time) 2 days before I started a new job. I was so sedated I completely slept through the 2nd day of my new job! They thought I quit. Fortunately, they worked with me.

I don't know if what you're experiencing is hypo or med but I wish you the best of luck. I hope everything goes smoothly for you next week.

I found Geodon to be somewhat activating in the early days when I first started it. I settled down quickly though and it did help me with sleep, although I've since had to go on other meds for that. In fact, I wasn't sure it did anything for me at all until I went without it for a few days last week and immediately got hypo.

Hope you find the solution to your troubles. I'd definitely report this to your pdoc STAT.

I found Geodon sedating myself, but it can work differently...

I was taken off it because my heart rhythm went wonky. I was out of it for a while and then went IP again.

I was first put on it in IP this past August at 40mg twice a day and slept for two friggin days. But I quickly got used to it and it no longer makes me tired. It's definitely helped my hypo. I'm now on 60mgs twice a day with no issues.

I take 120 milligrams of Geodon each night. 40 mgs seems like a small dose, one that hasn't been able to help you yet. I'd stick with it and even call my doc for an adjustment upwards if I was having your symptoms.

Good luck.
