Dear friends, I need instrumental music that is happy. Not vocals, not songs.

The classical music I usually listen to is not happy. I love it of course! But I need more happy music to listen to when I'm depressed and very slow moving -- like I am now. Happy classical music would be great if you know any.

There is one happy tune called 'Mountain Minuet" by Boots Randolph. But I don't like any of the other things he's done!! It's good tap dance music. That's where I heard it, in a senior tap class. I can't do tap anymore -- can't even stand on my taps without slipping badly. I gave away my tap shoes. Maybe you know some good tap music I could listen to? I will look for some.

This afternoon (now) is the first time I've been out of bed in 3-4 days. I'm actually going to get dressed. I'm hoping to play my own instruments today, and I have some happy music, including some songs I sing.

For instrumental only, Enya comes to mind.
I find her music uplifting. People tend to either truly enjoy her music, or they greatly dislike it.
I'll be trying to think of more artists.

So glad you are up and about!
Enjoy your instruments!

Thank you Wild C, I like Enya -- but her music isn't "funny" music like Mountain Minuet is. I've looked up Hilarity Music on YouTube, no luck. I'll try funny music there, but gotta go now so will do that later. Thanks for looking for more! I love country music, but not sure if there's any instrumental country. Mountain Minuet is shown as country music. Have you listened to that? If you do, maybe it will give you some ideas, but, gosh, it's really hard to find stuff. Besides, everyone's likes and dislikes of music AND humor are so different.

There's many meditation apps that have this feature. The one I like is "relax oriental" and "relax melodies". I have a few more too. If you have a smart phone you can do a search.

I don't listen to the type of music you mentioned but it sounds pleasant and I hope you find some new songs you enjoy.

Dear friends! Thank you for all your suggestions. Ah, LolaGrace! Another classical music lover. Good suggestions! I'll check out the Carnival of the Animals. And Sousa is a HUGE great idea! I used to have a vinyl that was a collection of marches by many march composers. Maybe I can find a collection again. Also, circus music and merry-go-round music -- I'll try them. Most of the others I know real well. I have CDs of the complete Swan Lake ballet, and every time the ballet comes to my city, I go. I've seen he ballet at least 4 times so far. The sets are always generally awesome -- the way awesome has meant for eons before it got it's pop meaning. Here's another good Happy Music suggestion -- I have a Pandora station called Scarlatti. His name was Dominico Scarlatti. The station is all keyboard music -- some piano, some harpsichord. So I have tons of options now!! Thank you all!

Not sure who it's by but a solo violin piece (with orchestra back up) called "The Hot Canary". Guaranteed to cheer you up! Look up The Hot Canary Florian Zabach on YouTube. (Or Google). This piece always gets me dancing!

---response: I like the Gipsy Kings. It is really fast Spanish acoustic guitar instrumentals. Years ago, my BFF used to play it in her car and we would drive around in the car. Absolutely impossible to feel bad listening to this! Hugs!
