I tried not to scream. But I got yet another voice mail for yet another office. This time it's food stamps/snap office. They have always answered the phone before. I tried calling my therapist but the error message says the "cell phone number you are calling is not available." Obviously, the organization is NOT a cell phone. Curses. A pox on them all.

ok easier said then done but you can't let this stuff ruin your day. I know it's frustrating as hell but when you really think about it, it's not worth your energy!
Getting worked up only gives you a headache but really does not accomplish anything.

For your own wellbeing, let it roll off them shoulders girl. Let it roll....

Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
Thanks for this!

What does this have to do with bipolar? If there is an Anger or Anger Management forum, you may find more help there. There is a Coping with Emotions forum.

Scream away, it seems to work for you.

I once told a doctor, "I don't have mental health issues, I don't scream or go off on people, I stay calm and always try to be rational" they said "you do have mental health issues, and you'd probably be a lot better off if you did scream and rant". I think they were right and I say SCREAM AWAY!!! Get it out, don't stuff it down (all within reason of course) but that truly is what we are here for, what this board should be for....get all that ugly stuff out of you Flowerbell! (((Hugs)))

I agree that the Anger forum might help you learn some good coping skills.

Is this rage due to your being unwell Bipolar wise ?

Maybe it should have gone into a check-in thread instead? Some folks need to vent, but cannot find the one size fits all box to lodge their complaint through. Is there any harm being done?

Bipolar has a lot of issues related to it, even when we are stable, there are issues because of the trauma of our experiences being unstable.

Also, not everyone on these boards has what they say they have or has good intentions. Some come on to make fun of people with mental health issues cause they are sick in different ways. I always provide support because I'd rather be kind when I shouldn't than dismissive when it really counts. The nature of these boards is we never know, and that can leave honest people shaking their head, and sadly cause very sick people undue torment.

Anger needs to be expressed and I'd rather someone share it here than out in the real world.
Thanks for this!

No harm other than this is the second thread on the same topic within days of each other, and it seems the sole purpose of each thread is the same. Then again, I just checked the subtitle of the forum: "For the discussion and support of individuals who live with bipolar disorder and mania (or hypomania)."

I guess if this falls under "support of individuals," scream away. Or per neodk's suggestion, stick it in the check-in thread. Or do whatever the hell you'd like, the floor is yours. I retract my prior comments.
