I have mixed feelings about Paxil. I've been on it about two weeks and now I have horrible cottonmouth! Bleh! Other than that I also am having some blurry vision at times.

Sadly, it's really helped me.

I'm torn about my next pdoc visit. Whether I should stay on it or not.

Maybe you can stay on it and she can give you something for the side effect. My pdoc did that. One of my medicines gives me "hot flashes" and I sweat more. She prescribed me congentin and it has helped with keeping me cool.

It's the blurry vision that's the worst. I can barely read!

if it's working you may want to give it more time
many side effects ease up after a couple of months
many do not of course lol
but if you feel this may be a good med for you maybe wait and see!

I'm glad you said that. I have to carry a fan everywhere I go because I get so hot. The only thing I can see that we have in common is the Wellbutrin. I'm going to ask my pdoc about congentin next week. I think everyone in my household will be grateful when I'm not turning the AC to 68.

That sucks you are having bad side effects and it is working for you. I agree, talk to your pdoc, there might be something to counteract the effects. Best Wishes.

I was going to say try reading glasses. My vision gets blurry now too so I bought a pair. It really helps me a lot.

Maybe a reduction in dose?? At the appointment, I'd get his/her input on whether they think that might do the trick. Maybe with a time frame to taper off if that doesn't work. Worth asking.

Hear you on the awfulness of the blurry vision! I had it when I took 400mg Lamictal all at once. Splitting it into am and pm solved it immediately.
Thanks for this!

If it's working maybe it's worth waiting out and seeing if the side effects go away. It took about two months for my side effects to go away. Meantime, sparkling water and biotin helps with dry mouth and OTC reading glasses can help with the blurred reading.
