Lately I've just been tired all of the time. If I didn't have my daughter to care for I'd be sleeping all day.
I recently had a psychotic break and ended up in the hospital. I was wondering if anyone else feels tired a lot after something like that happens? It feels like my brain has cracked and in order for it to heal I have to sleep a lot. And it's not a med issue either. I'm not on any sedating meds.

Yes, it takes me a lot of sleep after an IP stay to resume normal activities. You could discuss a stimulant with your doc.

Yes, it's happened to me before after I've come out of IP. Sleep is healing and you've had a rough time. You need rest to heal. I hope you feel better soon. Best wishes.

You are likely still recovering.

My late tdoc said that a break is just like a physical injury to the brain (just like in a car accident). He said it needs time to heal. He was a very wise man, so I think I'd believe him.

yeah it definitely takes time to recover. I would also suggest making sure you are getting good nutrients from food at this time. Good self care will get you through

It takes me a week or two to bounce back from an IP stay. Getting used to routines and habits of everybody else throws me off.

IP Leaves me physically exhausted for a few weeks, sometimes 2-4 weeks. My T assured me that it's normal to need more sleep.
