I am on my last bit of geodon. I lost my health insurance. I ran out of meds in past and it actually caused me to be suicidal. I was a basket case, and couldn't sleep or eat.
I'm looking for natural supplements for the geodon. Anything would be helpful.

I am wondering if you've tried any of the discounted and/or free drug programs available through manufacturers and otherwise?

Our friends here have a lot of knowledge about some of the potential options.

I used to get patient assistance for Geodon. I had insurance but it was still too high at the drug store so I applied for it through my pdoc's office and got approved because I was on disability. I had to pay a nominal fee for it. You probably won't since you're uninsured.

I googled Geodon patient assistance just now and it brought up phone numbers and forms. I can't go without my Geodon. I hope you don't have to either. Good luck. Sending big hugs.

Yes, getting it from the manufacturers is a good route, but it will take time. Would Tylenol PM maybe be of any help? I know I used it once when I was in a really tough spot and it got me through until the manufacturers program came through. However, I was not diagnosed as Bipolar yet at that time. I was looking for help with the depression. The Tylenol PM allowed me to sleep at least. I was having a lot of trouble with that and it helped, so even if you can only get help with one symptom, at least try for that. I wish you the best with all this!

Rx Outreach | Patient Assistance Program, Discount Prescription Drugs helped me so much when I was uninsured. Geoodon through them is $65 for a 90 day supply. I would try for patient assistance but this may be an option if that doesn't work or if you can buy one batch of it (not sure if they do a 30 day supply option) while you wait for patient assistance. In my experience patient assistance generally decides quickly but sometimes it is a few weeks.

Also with patient assistance know that even if there is a criteria you don't meet you can apply with a note attached requesting an exemption. I get patient assistance for 2 meds, hopefully 3 soon, and I have Medicare. I just write a note explaining that I can't afford to pay the Medicare cost and that this is the only med that helps me. I've never had a problem.

I hpe you ca get this worked out soon. I kow how hard it is o not hae insurance.

Would it help to switch to med that is similar to geodon but not as expensive? Generic seroquel is pretty cheap. Of course if you feel like hurting yourself that is a medical crisis and you can go to o an emergency room.
