Wellbutrin is producing a lot of agitation and I need to get rid of it.
Can I do it cold turkey?. My pdoc is on vacation. I don't know the NP.
What do you think guys?.

Wellbutrin is what elevated my agitation. Now I'm on stabilizers and am much better.
Thanks for this!

I have quit Wellbutrin cold turkey from 450 mg to zero. I had no negative results with the caveat that my system seems to handle medication differently.
Thanks for this!

I took 150mg twice a day. I skipped the afternoon dose for about a week then stopped taking it. No withdrawal or side effects for me.
Thanks for this!

If it's super-agitating and causing trouble in your life, there may be an emergent need to stop it cold turkey.

If it's agitating but tolerable, you might do better to do a brief taper downwards in dose.

Only you know if there is an emergent need to stop.

Since you've stopped in, I'm gonna leave you a big hug!

Please let us know what you decide and how you are doing?

Thank you for your reply and your friendship. You are a Super Person!!!.

It's causing big trouble in my life, yes. At the beginning it was good for my depression. Now it's a nightmare.
I'm afraid of what Ad she will put me on, since this is my only one.
I took 300mg for like two months. 150 for two days now. Today and tomorrow will take 100IR. Then nothing. Let's see how it goes.
Thanks again.

So glad you have a plan!
Yes, selecting antidepressants is difficult.

I think you are super, too!

As you have written, "Lets see how it goes."

----response. Sounds u have a good plan. Wellbutrin was just bad for me-- too agitating. If you are bp2, ask your pdoc about Latuda. After 40 yrs of struggle i am stable on latuda alone!
Thanks for this!

Latuda sounds good, however if I'm barely able to afford Abilify generic, I think the price will kill our good intentions. Thank you for your reply.

Hey- I take Wellbutrin and admittedly have stopped it cold turkey before, without horrid side effects (except for the depression returning), but thought I should mention my pdoc said it is dangerous to stop it suddenly bc it can cause you to have a seizure. So just be careful.
Good luck.
Thanks for this!

Can you talk to your pharmacist about it?

I've been having crippling anxiety to the point I can't even catch my breath. It's like a bad asthma attack. I take 150mg twice a day and I'm staring to wonder if it's the culprit. I'd like to stop taking it like tomorrow but pdoc gets pissed when I play around with meds without talking to her. I might do it anyway though. This anxiety is too much. Good luck pirilin, I'm sure you'll be fine. In my experience it's never caused withdraw or anything.
