When I get in these mood states there comes a point where I just want to go numb and kind of check out, not die but not live my life at that moment either. So I start increasing my klonopin usage. I am allowed four 0.5mg pills a days as a prn. But like today I took those 4 in a span of about 50 minutes. Then later another two and tonight will be another two. Not sure what the rest of the weekend will bring. My T wants me to let her know how much I am using but for now I think I will just ignore her.

They may not prescribe it anymore if you keep over using it.

I know you are right and I know I should care but right now I just don't. And I don't mean that to be rude to you.

Often a dose of NyQuil here and there can help numb and sleep. They even have just ZZZ Quil now .

Worth a shot

Hope you feel better

Actually I was just looking this up because my youngest needed a sleep aid OTC. ZZZQuil is the main ingredient in Benadryl. That's all it is. Nyquil Severe has an extra ingredient (alcohol? Not sure on that) to help you sleep, that zzzquil or regular Nyquil do not.

I have Doxepin for sleep but we are trying to get that to a minimum dose. Maybe I can try NyQuil.

Also I guess to clarify I don't always over use the klonopin. My last bottle of 120 pills lasted me 4 months. I will go through periods of not using it to ones like now where I over use.

I understand that. I had a problem with that on and off like you do. I have it under control and fortunately my pdoc trusts me. Best wishes.

I was totally off of it, but had some personal problems and got back on. I overtake by a little some days and then don't take any other days. I'm going to get some zzzquil as that's why I take the Kpin...to sleep.

Like Moose said, zzzquil is just Benadryl. That's it. It's much cheaper to just buy a bottle of generic Benadryl.

Right now it has gotten complicated.
Levothyroxine and Focalin when I get up.
Lithium and propranolol when I get to work but after I eat
Then if I eat lunch I have to take Iron but nothing else with it or I get sick.
Around 2pm I will take propranolol and Focalin again
Try to take my other vitamins when I get home if I can.
At night I need to eat enough to take my Latuda, lithium, Lamictal and Doxepin.
Plus klonopin through the day when I need it.
Problem is I have not had much of an appetite so to try and eat three times a day is hard. When I am at work I often forget to eat lunch. Breakfast also is hard to remember some days.

maybe a switch to a lower potency benzodiazepine? Just a thought. Valium isn't nearly as popular in the US now as Klonopin, but because its more sedating, doses don't get as high as easily. also...in my personal experience, valium and librium play better with stimulants than klonopin.

I was taking Doxepin for sleep and found that taking it on an empty stomach was best for it helping me to get to sleep.
