Freedom from bipolar is very difficult. Its like a trap...

The worst are mixed episodes... they drive me crazy, within one day having highs and lows.... damn.

I feel really alone in it all. Sometimes I wish someone can take it away, but no-one can. Meds help but have side effects.

Someday I hope I can find someone who will be with me and not give up on me when im low, as loneliness makes it worse.

We bipolar people are good problem solvers and very creative.

The mixed episodes are really harder on my wife than they are on me but of course they still make me feel like a mad man.

Maybe no one can take take the episodes away but eventually you will meet someone who understands and sticks by you through it all.

Even with my wife being here I sometimes get very lonely so I come on to Psych Central
where there are many people to help me get through it. Often I don't even post I just read and find solace in what helps other people.

Do you have any bipolar groups in your area?

I'd kill (not literally) for a mixed episode right now. Maybe half of me would be happy. But you're absolutely right, it is a trap from which there is no escape. There are people out there who can handle relationships with bipolar people. They just have to really understand what it means.

I don't think there is freedom from bipolar. Maybe remission. Maybe better handling of moods. I don't think it just goes away.
