Hey all,

I have bipolar disorder, and I want to know if it is normal for people with bipolar to have paranoid thoughts in relationships? I really struggle with this... especially when things seem a bit off, I think my SO is cheating or lying when she may not be... problem is that I become emotionally affected by my own thoughts, even if I have no idea if they are true or not...

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Can you challenge these feelings or see a therapist?

I get paranoid of my husband is against me but usually after I'm really paranoid of everything else. Please talk to your psychiatrist.

Some people have paranoid thoughts. Some do not.

What's important is that you question whether it's possible your thoughts are paranoia. It's possible.

As mentioned above, please have your pdoc or tdoc help you to sort out what's going on for you.
