I may be bipolar. But this I do know. I binge on downers like xanax and ambien. I've been using drugs of some kind for most of the last 8 years. Do all kinds terribly stupid things. Then times like now I can't believe that was me. I don't understand. Is it just that I'm less anxious and depressed right now? Or does this sound like a bipolar thing? I've certainly gone manic on weed and antidepressants before but that might be to expected. I'm feeling low or anxious pretty much all the time though.

I was like that with alcohol. It made a mess of me, and I did things I'd never do sober. It turned me into a monster. I'm sober 2 years 4 months now.

Hi Americano,

I was wrongfully diagnosed as bipolar and borderline by a doctor once, so be alert. It will save you from medication that you shouldn't be taking. Meds help a lot of people, but not everyone. Be very careful about what you are taking.

There's only one way to find out if they are good for you and which one is appropriate for your condition, through medical assistance. I stress that you keep researching and consulting many doctors if you are not completely stable. Your life is more important than anything in this world, take care!

Ps: I have chronic insomnia, so I used Ambien; but since I realized that it can't be used everyday and it's quite dangerous, I just got off it. I'm struggling a lot. What really helps me right now is my heavy exercise routine and a better diet, have you tried it?

Hope you feel better!
