I've been on Invega Sustenna for nearly 2 years and it made me gain 60 pounds. My doctor is stopping this injection and putting me back on Lithium. Has anyone gone off Invega and did you lose weight? How much did you lose and how long did it take?

I just got off my invega too. I'm also wondering if I'll lose weight now. My husband says he can tell my tummy has gone down some. I'm also on clozapine so i might have a harder time getting the weight off because of that. I wish you well.

I too have stopped invega as of yesterday. I did some research and it seems that if you get your prolactin levels down it will become possible to lose weight, but you still have to stick to diet and exercise. It probably won't just come off on its own. But the high prolactin is what caused the weight gain for me and made it impossible to lose weight. I'm hoping that if my prolactin goes down and I stick to low carb pretty consistently I will lose the weight. I doubt I will lose all 70 pounds I gained but I'll be happy if I can lose 25 - 30.

Did they prescribe anything for your high prolactin? Not only are my prolactin levels high from Invega but some of my other hormones are jacked up. I also have a goiter on my thyroid now. I see my endo again next week.

Yes I'm on cabergoline .25mg twice a week. I got my period today after missing two months so hopefully that's a sign it's working.
