I have been having problems with restlessness and agitation. For instance, my legs cannot unstress, sit still, and relax. I am on risperidone and buproprion, the latter which makes this unsettled feeling worse.

Has anyone had success with this med for similar problems?

I was given Cogentin for a while but it didn't work. I'm now on Artane and it helps somewhat.

I had a bad tremor (hands, jaw, and limbs) from Latuda. Cogentin did not help at all. I'm sorry.

I had restless legs from geodon. 1mg of cogentin took it away. It's worth a try.

Try Inderal along with Cogentin.

i think it depends....cogentin sometimes works, but if you have akathisia, then proporanolol and/or a benzodiazepine (i seem to recall hearing that gabapentin can help, too..) would probably be more effective.

On the other hand, if you have restless legs syndrome instead of akathisia, then the drugs Mirapex or Neupro could help, whereas Cogentin or Inderal wouldn't. I never had anything like you're describing caused by Cogentin.
