For me, since mine go hand in hand with psychosis, I usually get really homicidal or really suicidal. So as for now I have 203 ways to commit homicide, and 153 ways to commit suicide. Full with details, and ways to escape, ways to not get caught and so on. I am not planning on acting upon them. But it's really calming writing them down. I just hope the police don't raid my house for whatever reason because I will look like a really depressed serial killer.
So, what chills you out? What is your speciality?

Exercise, hands down. I've never done a workout and felt more depressed as a result, it always improves my mood.
Thanks for this!

I drank and took adderall last time I was depressed. I am off of both now due to abuse. I am not sure what will happen next time, but in the past I have just ridden it out.

I am type II and I get hypomanic. If I knew what would get me out of that state I think I would avoid it like the plague...

When I'm depressed, I try to distract myself from the pain: journaling, watching a funny show, reading James Patterson's books, snuggling with my pets, wrapping up in a soft blanket, aromatherapy, talking to my daughter, etc. I find it very difficult to get out of the house when I'm depressed so I do things at home. Best wishes.
