I am currently taking 8 klonopin a day for my akathisia. Problem is my memory is so bad I am afraid I am going to accidentally take too many pills. I kind of have a system down but still worry that it isn't foolproof. As you suggestions? Plus there is the temptation to always take more. I am constantly fighting that internal battle.

Put the pills in a weekly container so you can't take to many one day.

Could you use a pill box that you fill every Sunday for the week ahead? Yes, I have to fight the temptation to take more then prescribed as well. Best wishes.

I have a box that I fill for each day but I have this fear that I will forget and take pills from the bottle or another box.

What about taking an empty pillbox and fill it like so:
Tape sticky notes on top of the M, T, W, Th, F, S, Su. Write on the stickies: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 And if there's a PRN spot, write 8. If no PRN slot, it isn't a huge deal. Just remember that #8 comes from the pill bottle Then refill everything tomorrow again. Rinse and repeat Good luck! |

Sorry. Poor explanation on my part
You dedicate 1 pillbox JUST for Klonopin. Then fill the pillbox once a day, using each slot for ONE pill. Don't put any more than 1. Then label 1-8. |
