I have bipolar and borderline. I've been diagnosed for 25 years. I'm 50 now. I've tried many types of therapy and meds. The meds help some but the therapy was unsuccessful and in many cases harmful. I've been kicked out of a DBT day hospital and fired by a psychiatrist. I've been turned away from ERs many times. I don't see a psychiatrist. I just have my GP for meds. I haven't seen him in over a year.
Does anybody else feel that they are just not the right type of crazy for help? My peers with different diagnoses swear by various types of therapy that don't work for me. I just feel that i have such trouble relating to people, interacting with people causes such huge emotional reactions in me that it is best to withdraw from life. I have enough money so there's no reason why i can't do this indefinitely. Does anybody else feel that they're not the right type of crazy for help? |

I feel that way sometimes when my pdoc can't get my depression under control and it keeps popping up. I understand.
