My T some how just got me to agree to go to an IOP. Doesn't start for almost 2 weeks so I still have time to back out. I do the intake on the 31st. I am afraid they will do the intake and want to throw me inpatient. My T really wanted me to do PHP but we negotiated to IOP.
What is IOP like? Besides time commitment how is it different than PHP? |

Not much different at the place I go to. Same groups, just less time spent in them. And you only see the dr every two weeks in IOP instead of weekly in PHP. At least at my place.

Ones I've been to PHP is 5 days a week for 5 hours , you eat lunch there and they pick you up and drive you home. IOP is for 3-4 hours 2-3 days a week and you must get yourself to and from the program. Both have check in group and group therapy. PHP has occupational therapy and stuff like that. Some places have day time and night times IOP
