So I saw my Psychiatrist today after 6 months. Needless to say I have had the usual ups and downs of the bipolar swing. I was low since Jan and then I went hypo-manic April/May time now I feel flat which is unusual as its the summer and I am normally flying high. I am taking 2-3 hours to get up and bathing etc is an effort I just feel exhausted and I do not work. So why am I soooo exhausted? I told him that I have stopped my meds since June and that I keep messing up with them. I take them then I feel bad so I don't take the next day(s) etc. He spoke about why I need to take them and put it to me as if I knew someone with Diabetes and they need to take Insulin. I understand I am just not happy taking them. He is going to talk to my Psychologist and see if we can do work around taking the meds. He thinks I am still doing good as he is seeing me again in 6 months time.

I don't mean this to sound rude at all, I'm honestly curious. Why go to a pdoc if you won't take meds? Or have I misunderstood?

Why go to a pdoc if you won't take meds? A lot of time I'd go because I knew I needed help, I knew I needed the meds but the follow through was the issue.
