Yes it gave me restless leg so bad that it would take me hours to fall asleep or no sleep at all!! I stopped taking it because of this reason. I need my sleep or I'm a mess. Sleep is very important with BP.

Sorry for the delay in reply. The flu-like symptoms I was experiencing turned out to be a right lovely case of strep throat and I'm still in the process of recovering. Getting over this illness has been particularly difficult considering the restlessness which seems to come and go. I had a visit with my doctor last week and she agreed that the cons outweigh the pros, and she has placed me back on 5 mg of Abilify with the objective of being off the medication within the next 4 weeks.

Thank you so much for your concern. And your avatar is awesome!

I truly hope Abilify works for him, Fairies. Let us know how it goes.

But I will be monitoring him and his mood and actions. I'm glad he is on summer break and at home so I can keep a good eye on him.

Right?! I've had a lot of mood swings due to the lack of sleep. I had forgotten the importance of sleep with bipolar disorder until I stopped getting quality sleep.
I hope you were able to find a medication that doesn't give you restless legs.
