This may sound a little silly (or lame), but I've tried different kinds of pill organizers and never been entirely happy. So I thought maybe we could see what's working for each other. Here's my current organizer:

I am happy with my Cielo pill case that I use just for carrying clonazepam:

What about you?

I use two from wal-mart. They pretty handy, one has a certain lock on it so no kids can get into it and the other is just a regular old pill organizer. I want to get another locked one so that when my niece and nephews visit they won't be able to get into my medications. I'm always paranoid about it.

I don't like mine. It's very basic, just 7 slots. I want an AM/PM one that has enough slots for at least 2 weeks.

Okay, I got this pic off the web, it isn't exactly like mine - but close. Because I have such a hard time taking meds at the same time day in and day out - it has an alarm, and lights blink. My health insurance paid for it. Oh, sorry I mean't to write this next to the picture above.

I think some Bipolar person should make some really amazing colored and shaped one..

I get annoyed that not all psych meds are not bright brillant colors and whatnot..

I mean .. why not have something pretty???

I don't use my pill organizer, but I do put all of my bottles in this thing now:
https://www.target.com/p/bathroom-3-...n/-/A-52106425

Top drawer is for pills that come in bubble packs, typically those sample Rx packs. Second drawer is for the bottles themselves. Bottom drawer is for PRN's

My meds change so frequently that a pillbox organizer would just make things waaaay too confusing.

I have about 10 different styles. Once I'm on a more permanent schedule I will use one again but for now they change too frequently....plus Saphris is a weird medication and can't be put in an organizer....I can't even touch the med.

I carry around a pill case too. Usually for my Klonopin or Adderall. I do sometimes worry/wonder about what would happen if I had some kind of interaction with the police and they found me with controlled substances outside of a prescription bottle(or even in a prescription bottle, actually). They could claim that you're selling or bought them illegally.

Also, have you heard of DRE police? They can arrest you and charge you with DUI prescription drugs from a simple visual observation! Antidepressants and stimulants fall under the category of precipitating impairment.

A judge in our area tried to prosecute someone for DUI
because of caffeine. Ignorant dumazzes need to get
Some training! I don't drive much anymore and as
Long as I'm taking meds I doubt I ever will.

Yes I keep my Ativan in its original bottle in my purse. The cops around here are rediculous and will definitely search you and take you in for random benzo/phetamine etc loose in a case.

But now I use Pill Pack and it has literally made my life better.

You submit all of your prescriptions and they build a box of packets catered to your needs. Like in the picture, each packet lists the time of day it is to be taken, the name and dosage of each medicine in the packet, and the packet can be easily torn from the rest.

They can also send you medicine that is considered "at any time." like ativan or albuterol.

Its really great!
Thanks for this!

In my country legally you aren't allowed to drive when depressed, regardless of whether you're on an antidepressants.

Not driving while depressed is excessive in most cases. Not driving while anxious I can understand....or agitated or angery, but depressed is a little over the top.

I like the idea, but one reason not to have medicine that is bright and pretty is that children will think it is candy. This is something I have to worry about in my house, because I have a half-dozen grandchildren who get into everything.
Thanks for this!

When I was working as an OT I used to work with patients to be sure they could safely fill a pill box. I had a bunch of prescription bottles with identifying info removed and beads used as pills. One of my patients with dementia got into the bottles and ate a bunch of beads. They looked like candy to him. I felt HORRIBLE even though it was fine and he just had to digest them.
