The last few days my Skin has been so itchy I scratch till I bleed. My arms look horrible. I called my pharmacist and explained it to him. I also told him that a few days ago I took my lamictal in the morning and then threw up so I took my morning dose again. He said thats why I'm so itchy. Good news is I know what it's from. Bad news is he said it takes 12 days to get out of your system! Thats a long time to endure this hell.

Sorry to hear about it, I hope it goes away. Did you ask your pdoc if there's anything you can do in the meantime to relieve the itchiness? Maybe Benadryl or some sort of anti itch cream?

Hopefully it will not take the full 12 days to leave your system.

I had the rash and it was fairly badly (probably moderate severity). I know I was off work from Wed. afternoon and went back the next Tuesday or Wednesday. I still had some rash but was no longer massively uncomfortable. That was with stopping the med completely on the Wednesday.

Hope you feel better soon.

Are you still taking lamictal? Can you talk to your Pdoc who prescribed it? Lamictal is know for causing severe skin problems. I get a rash from even thinking about things that cause a rash so I refuse to even try that stuff.

I started taking Lamictal and got the rash. I was IP at the time and the pdoc there said to let him know if it appeared. He took me off of it right then. Can you let your pdoc know about this incident? I think the rash is one of the side effects that is of concern. Hope your rash clears up soon. Best wishes.
