I ask this because im a bit under the weather and im finding that its causing me to be moody and agitated. Ive never noticed this before because i haven't been unwell for over 7+ years.

So, back to the question...does it?

Oh my, yes! Getting sick thins the veil between stable and unstable. Gotta take extra care to keep stress away.

I hate the way "mood" is overloaded. I can be in a good mood when my MOOD is depressed. The boost in mood just has a short shelf life. But if I am sick and depressed, lifting spirits even temporarily is far less likely to happen. I also have a harder time holding up the facade of being okay so others can tell I am depressed (I manage to hide it much of the time).

When I am hypomanic, I can be switched from euphoric to irritable if I get really stressed. Getting sick is stressful, so it can make that switch.

Yes, I plummet when I get sick. Plus I get in a panic over seeing the doctor. I am always afraid I have some deadly illness.

In my experience, yes...physical illness does affect my mood. I tend to get depressed, possibly more anxious.

Yessss

I get really agitated, aggro even.

Germs bring out the b!tch in me.

I usually try to eliminate as much stress as possible, and or put myself into timeout until I can play nice.
