Is it possible for just 25mg of lamictal to make a difference? I am extremely sensitive to medication in general, but is this even possible? It's not a huge difference, I've just noticed that I don't wake up in the midst of a panic attack anymore, and that I've been taking less benzos.

My son is on 25mg. I don't see a difference in him.

Yes if you're med sensitive just a small increase or decrease can make a big difference.

I know for me I didn't really start feeling it until around 100mg but I am also on lithium too. YMMV

I felt something at 50 and have not had to increase over 100, but I tend to be a lightweight with psychoactive drugs.

My doctor increased me weekly to a hundred. Didn't feel much on 25 or 50. 75 I started to feel a lift and better at 100. Might go higher, depending on what we find out has been causing my recent jaw clenching, but that's a different post.

I don't recall feeling much at 25mg. I think I was closer to 100mg before I noticed anything from Lamictal. I'm also on the med-sensitive side of things, but I ended up on 300mg in the end. That still didn't help much. Lamictal was not the best med for me. I reached better stability on Trileptal.

YES! It's DEFINITELY possible! Im not sensitive in particular to meds, but 25mg made a difference in my depression, and it still is. I'm at 300mg now.

Glad you're feeling better!!!

Thanks everyone for replying I guess I'm hoping that just 25 mg CAN have an effect because maybe that would mean this feeling better thing won't just up and leave suddenly...either way, I'm going to continue to increase slowly and just see what happens - very thankful I've had ZERO side effects so far.

@NeatFreak - when did you decide you were on a high enough dose?

@Christina - I have never had to go off lamictal before, no. I have had to go off SSRI's and benzos - both awful even though I went ridiculously slow.
Thanks for this!
