Have you had allergy testing? I once tested allergic to everything, then years later I tested allergic to nothing. I switched allergists, and before he even tested me he diagnosed me based on the odd results and my descriptions of going through every kind of soap and shampoo that sometimes are ok and sometimes not ok. I was going crazy. I showed him my arm all red with welts just from my purse.

It's not allergies at all. It's autoimmune in my case. It has active and inactive phases. Dermatographic urticaria. He said skin tests don't work on me because I react to a sterile needle with a welt. He did a blood draw instead. Anyway-be sure to get actual testing if you haven't. I know my rashes are autoimmune anyway.

Golly. I love the stuff. On a high dose, now. Keeps the squirrels and dancing chickens away, no more long conversations with the dead, that crap.

Interested in your experience.

Thanks, I have had allergy testing.. not for a while though. I think my allergies did calm down somewhat for a long time.. not any more. Someone said eczema and allergies sometimes occur badly in seven year cycles. This latest occurance has been over 4 years

I miss Serequol.... my Psychiatrist took me off of it as it was too sedative for me. Which sucks as I only ever slept on it now my sleep is all over the place. I was on 300mg and yeah I did struggle at times I was also productive on it. Now he has put me on Aririprazole and I don't sleep on it as its not a sedation. I am not allowed sleeping tablets as they are mostly addictive. It sucks not being on the Serequol :-(

My CPN was the second opinion and then there was my GP too. I am coping just but miss the sedation. My head is cluttered most of the evening and into the night when I should be sleeping

I'm not sure what coping means in this context (it seems to mean just getting by ) but they seem to use that word a lot in the U.K. I hope your treatment team are ok apart from this issue

(Sorry about deleting my post, I asked if you could see another psychiatrist for a second opinion)

The sedation was great at times as I am very whizzy in my head especially when I was taking the Serequol at that time in my life. I do have a great team I hear someone people don't but my team is always there which is an added bonus. I just need to call up my team and I can speak to my CPN.

They put me on seroquel last week in the hospital. It will be a week tonight. So far it's just making me sleep, no relief from the depression....its only been a week though

Wow.. this is very unusual in my experience and from reading on pc and other forums. I'm happy for you

"My team" - I haven't experienced this

I hope it helps (((((((( hugs ))))))))

I think they titrate the dose up if the dose you're on doesn't help with the depression,... it helped me sleep straight away and did help a bit with the depression

The sedation. Yes. Honestly, I felt like I was cheating on my sobriety to take it, it it was so nice at times. Ultimately, ended up being a terrible drug for me.
