I have such a bad stomachache that everything keeps just going through me (sorry for tmi), and I don't really know what to do about my evening meds. It is late here. I have work tomorrow. I did still take my Lamictal, but my stomach is still upset. I did take some medication for my stomach. I take Seroquel at night, but I am nervous about taking it, because it knocks me out and if I get up to use the bathroom repeatedly, I will get dizzy and my blood pressure drops. On lower doses though, it's not as powerful, and I do have some pills around that are only half the dose I normally take, so I'm considering that.

I don't know if maybe it's better for me to just take something milder for sleep just for tonight, like low dose Klonopin? What would you do?

I am sorry for your distress. Can you break the tablet of Seroquel in half?

I am sorry I know it helps some people but I believe seroquel to have been created in the depths of hell.

I can understand where you are coming from. I feel very conflicted when it comes to Seroquel. Literally, I feel scared some nights, where I feel almost paralyzed in a semi-conscious state before it knocks me out. It's hard to describe. It mainly happened when I was on high doses though, compared to now. I was getting twitchy, dopey, and gained weight on doses that were higher, but luckily, a dosage change did help. Some days, I'm completely fine, but I don't really like how it feels at night. It's the only thing that helps with sleep consistently and mixed mania though, but I hate being so dependent on something for sleep.

EDIT: I just decided to take a 100mg tablet that I have that's old, but not too old to be effective. Although it's quite low compared to the dosage I am on, it's a compromise to avoid the heavier sedation, just for tonight. Hopefully it won't screw me up by skipping the higher dose, but maybe it won't since at least I took a portion of it, instead of not taking any at all.

I just want to acknowledge that what you are going through sucks. I hope it is resolved very soon.

Just for clarity's sake, are these tummy spells the result of your anxiety over taking the meds or just regular sucky side effects?

I experienced that same awful feeling while on Seroquel. I also had low blood pressure and dizziness. I was hospitalized due to fainting and chest pain on it. It's not a fun med. I feel your pain. I hope your tummy feels better and that you got some rest.

Luckily, I am feeling much better today. I'm glad I ended up taking the half dose of Seroquel, because it did help me sleep and I didn't get dizzy or feel my blood pressure drop this time. I will take the full dose of Seroquel tonight. I'm glad to get back on track.
