Do you take a pill to wake you up and start your day? I am getting frustrated with the fact that I hit snooze a billion times and get out of bed when it’s almost deadline time or sleep through and get a phone call from work and knock o. The the door by mr. Police officer.
I asked my pdoc for proviginil and he asked if I had narcolepsy which I said no. What else is out there? I’m going to explain this to him next time I see him. But in mean time does anyone use a wake up pill or any experience ? How do you wake up?

The best thing I ever did was start going to bed stupid early. Before I'd stay up late then struggle getting up in the morning. Took awhile to get my body adjusted though. I get up now 1hour before I really have to. So I do my daily chores in the morning before work. But if I hit the snooze a bunch of times, I'm still up in time to get ready.

I have to get up 2 hours before I'm going somewhere or I'm totally useless. I need time to ease into the day, drink coffee, futz around, look at silly memes in the internet, stare out the window....

I wake up with an alarm, and often follow that with a workout to wake me up a bit. If not, I go directly to take a shower. I don't allow myself to think about stopping, because then there's a greater chance that I will. Once I'm showered and dressed, I'm awake.

Yea multiple through I phone then on Alexa the light alarm clock. No matter what I stay in. Usually I’m pissed when it goes off and reach for it and hit snooze.

I can't explain it, I just...don't hit the snooze button. :/ It became habit after doing it for so long. And if it's a work day there is the incentive to show up.

There's Clocky. (Clockie?) It's an alarm clock that is very hard to sleep through because the noise is not a consistent beep; it's a lot of random, annoying noises that never repeat. It also has wheels and if you set it to do so it will roll away, off whatever it is sitting on, and "hide". You have to get up and find it to turn it off. By then you are usually awake. For me the noise alone worked pretty well and I didn't have to search for it too often.

Having said all that, recently I started taking 225 mg of IR wellbutrin in the morning and while it is technically not a stimulant, there is a little kick . But I am already out of bed and downstairs when I take it.

Do you think a stimulant would help. Leave it next to my bed stand with cup of water?

I used to take Focalin to help me wake up or I wouldn't be able to drive. Just recently we switched to Vyvanse.

I think the doc thinks I'm hair-trigger w mania. I was told not to even mess w caffeine, but I do drink instant coffee. It isn't too strong.
I can't take gabapentin at bedtime or I can't get up in the morning. I also reduced my quetiapine and started lithium instead. I just couldn't get up and was barely functioning when depression hit. I hope you find an answer |

And this is very intriguing. I don't know whether it's from only having this junk in the house and me not feeling well enough to cook right now, or if it's from insatiable food cravings, but I've been sorta binge eating again on chips (my worst enemy). So I wonder if the stimulant would help this too. Did you ever try it? |

I set an alarm to take a stimulant 2 hours before I want to get up. It takes awhile for the stimulant to kick in.
I hope you find a viable solution. ![]() WC

I can't sleep with an alarm on. I'll be waking up every hour: "is it time yet?" "is it time yet?"...
