Hey there! So I am currently on 1200mg of lithium and 40mg of Latuda. I am in a severe depression with psychotic features. My pdoc just recently upped my lithium and added Latuda. It seems to be finally starting to work after over 2 weeks. However I'm still having hallucinations so she decided to add Abilify today to try to combat this. But now that I'm at home thinking about it, isn't 2 antipsychotics overkill? Has anyone heard of taking these 2 drugs together? I don't understand why the Latuda isn't working on the hallucinations. I'm just confused and overthinking. Thanks for any help!

I was taking Latuda and Abilify together. I took them for several months, but the Abilify just wasn't helping me so I stopped it. It was prescribed to decrease anxiety, but didn't.

I've been on two APs for years. I take Geodon and Zyprexa. There are few contraindications for taking two APs if needed, although it's great if you can manage your illness with one, and I think most people do.
